Clamps Galore
If you're from the other side of the big waters, please mentally change the 'l' to 'r'. Below there is a good selection of clamps termed as corner clamps, angle clamps or miter vises. However you call it they will hold the corners of a custom wood picture frame together while the glue cures to make a nice secure tight corner. They run in price from not too expensive to not much more expensive. When you compare the price of an assembled larger custom wood picture frame to the price of the most expensive, miter vise, the $49.99 seems pretty reasonable. |

Angle Clamp - A very handy single corner clamp. It's good and heavy and will hold frame pieces secure.
Angle Strap Clamp - A good strap clamp to hold frames of any size to it's upper size limit.
Clamp_it Assembly Square - This is a fool proof clamp system. Just push the frame pieces as far into the assembly square as you can and clamp them securely with c-clamps or similar clamps.
Four Corner Framing Clamp - This is a simple clamp to use to hold all four corners of a picture frame at one time. It has metal corner braces and threaded rod with thumb nuts to adjust just a little at a time on each corner.
Miter Clamp System - This clamping system holds the picture frame pieces securely flat as well as holding the glued sections together.
Miter Vise - The miter vise is the granddaddy of angle clamping devices. I have one that I've been using for at least 30 years and have glued up thousands of frames. It's so solid that there isn't any reason why it won't still be holding frames a hundred years from now. They bolt down to a work surface so you have both hands free to manipulate the frame pieces.
Spring Clamp - The spring clamp is a very simple one handed clamp, but could be difficult to get the frame pieces straight.
Web Clamp - The web clamp is good for more than four corners or for four corners of varying sizes.
