Furniture refinishing and restoration sometimes gets people in trouble with a spouse, because once you're hooked, it seems like there's always one more piece that needs doing. Do you enjoy refinishing and restoring so much that you have a lot more furniture than you have room for?

Auctions are a good place to sell some of the excess pieces. Even large pieces are going on the online auctions. Who knows, you might even find a bargain to bid on that you can't resist. You can always add another room on the house.

If you aren't interested in auctions, there are quite a few classified sites, both free and fee.

If you do use an auction, be sure to read all the information and especially, specify that the buyer pays freight charges, as the freight can be a very sizeable amount on large pieces of furniture. There's lots of fun and excitement to be had at the auction.

If you're buying, be sure to be careful when you scratch your nose.
